And just like that I looked up and realised tomorrow was July! May I remember but June seemed to pass in a blink, so let's catch up. 

Tea party playdates with little friends.

Dance showcases to see what the other performance schools of Bournemouth are up to. 

Easter themed cookery sessions.

Bandits on horseback in the garden. 

Easter 'nest' cakes.

And bunny paper chains.

And no Easter would be complete without an all ages egg hunt in the garden! 

And the many, many times these two make mud pies. 

Then there was the best forest birthday party we've been to in a long time. 

Complete with tightrope walking, swings over the stream, a zip wire and lots of cake. 

With classes still going, evening walks along the beach still happen, blowing the cobwebs of the day away. 

Before April Passes Me By

As I finally sat down to write this, after having it on my weekly 'to do' list for way too long, I wondered how a whole month has passed with little to show for it. That's the way my mind works! I am so grateful to having the reality of photographic evidence to give me a sharp slap of a reminder of all that we have done together in the past 5 weeks. 

It has been full and there is so much change going on behind the scenes, this post is just but a glimpse of all that occurs here in our busy little world. 

Gabe had the sleepover to end all sleepovers with his two best friends by themselves in one of their caravans for the night!

Thea had an amazing weekend of performances for Arts Fest at Big Little. 

Then a friend got educational discounts on Les Mis at the Mayflower in Southampton which was an amazing treat for Thea and I. 

A friend of mine at PDSW invited the big ones and I to watch youth dance performances from all over the south of England perform as I am working on becoming an associate school with them. 

                     More cooking from Gabe led to some delicious empanadas and a dipping sauce.

Ayla got obsessed with a bunch of new to her board games now she's that bit older. It's made me happy as I now finally have someone willing to play Monopoly with me!

I had a birthday.

There were lots of woodland walks.

The smalls finally got to use the tools, nails and bigger chunks of wood for some skills practice during a warm weather spell. 

We remembered how much fun a freezer than can't regulate it's frost levels can be. 

And made the most of every drop of sunshine.

I took the teens to laser quest after the monthly art session I run. 

There was an outdoor birthday party at one of our favourite woodland spots. 

And during a waiting session for Thea at choir we found a new playground and a bandstand to rival the one I spent so much time at when I was little. 

When the 'snow' got boring (its a once a week job now) we added food colouring. 

Ayla and I had to do a photoshoot for an article I have coming out in Green Parent next month. 

Gabe had his end of term sharing day at Embers, where he got to display the brilliant mouse house he had made and perform in the play they had devised themselves. 

We also remembered the joys of dying dolls hair using sharpies. The big three used to do this for hours and happily Ayla loves it just as much. 

A wild west kiwi crate led to this horseshoe printed bandana and hobby horse which apparently she has always wanted.
