August: Fairies, Witches and A Birthday

With just the small two in tow we were off to our favourite annual New Forest event... the Fairy Festival.

Circus skills for hours if I would let them.

Seeing dear friends only once a year is sad but when they arrive like this...

The best grumpy fairy in the forest!

The moment Ayla met a real life mermaid!

The moment Gabe won the fancy dress competition.

Gabe would never leave the festival without his yearly picture with the Green Man.

My ultra cool blue alien.

Captivated by a Frozen dance performance.

And all the favourite costumed people we saw and met.

For Gabe's birthday gift I got us tickets to Wicked under the kids summer West End offer of half price tickets!!

And we even managed to meet the stars of the show afterward and get some autographs.

And then so quickly she turned 5!

It felt a little strange because of being half in and half out of the house but she still had a lovely day.

To the cinema!

And because our lives were so all over the place, the cake came last but she decorated it herself in blue because Percy Jackson eats blue food, while wearing her Zombies cheerleading outfit!

August Shenanigans

Thea teaching Gabe dance routines from the show she is rehearsing each night when they come home.

Taking these two on a doll hunt at a car boot sale and then searching out the only patch of shade in the enormous field which just happened to be created by an ice cream van.

How seriously they take the Operation game.

Dressing up in a fairy costume and bike helmet to watercolour paint the dolls house furniture because... why not?

Sat waiting outside yet another class with a new to us bingo game.

The who's tallest challenge continues.

Making the most of only having a mattress and no furniture to crash into.

In and out of the storage facility every day.

The big opening night at the Mayflower theatre Southampton.

My buddy keeping me company late at night.

Just because they are cute.

And so are they.

Another Pride event.

More cuteness, this is seriously how they wake up every day.

The many faces of Ayla while we do nails.

Our special Kit.

The happiness when you thought the slime making stuff was in storage but found it in a random box.

Best friends.

And one last Pride.
