I've had the window open on my screen for the last two weeks and just not managed it, but a month after the last blog and I'm back again. To be fair life just gets busier and busier around here. Most of my month has been taken up with crazy levels of organising for home ed events I have coming up, as well as GCSE prep and organisation for Orion.
My big thing though has been the course I have designed and created for mothers to reconnect with their personal creativity and bring greater balance into their daily lives by working towards valuing themselves as women as much as mothers. It's a project dear to me and we began on Friday. It's so exciting to have a group of like minded women, most of whom I've never met, trust me and feel ready to delve into what holds us back and changing those things. I can't wait to see the transformations we all go through over the next 20 weeks.
In addition to the course, I've been working with a new female duo that have created a women's magazine which I have agreed to write a series for and also to hold a monthly women's circle for, which I'm also very excited about.
Tom has been focused on new album from The Four Owls and the first single was released on Friday (big day for all of us) and is going amazingly well. He's also got a crazy long list of projects he's working on right now.
From the kid's perspective it's been fun, games and education as usual...
We made our first batch of moon sand so Ayla's toys could have a desert.

They're forever putting these jumpers on together so they can be matching, and listening to them play is one of the easiest stress relievers I've ever known.

A weird but brilliant dance theatre performance I took the big two to at Pavilion Dance Southwest which had a Q&A with the all male cast and director afterward. I try and get them to a performance of something relevant to them once a month, especially things like this for Orion who can't get enough of dance in all forms.

The other big focus we have at the moment is creating more groups of teens and tweens for the big two. The art group is brilliant and they really have developed that team feel. We now also have the creative writing group I organise and the discussion group I run. While I've been looking forward to a discussion group for a long time, I was a bit nervous about how some of them would cope with the heavy subject matters of things like abortion, is there such a thing as a soul and when does is it created, and euthanasia, but they have more than risen to it and at times have completely blown me away with their insights and deeply personal sharing. Teenagers are pretty amazing if you ask me.
And here I am tonight, well deserved!
