Our final day was spent wandering the town and getting up to mischief, firstly at the Museum of Witchcraft and Wizardry otherwise known as the Creaky Cauldron.
It was way too expensive for what it was but the big two loved it, and spent ages working out clues, decoding things and answering riddles.
And were very pleased with themselves when they passed their Early Entrance Level Examination in Sleuthing and received their Certificates of Merit and Field Agent cards!
The river was lovely and cool on a hot day, and it was strange to think that the Avon connects our home to Stratford when the two places seem so far apart.
We loved these willow and wicker sculptures of A Midsummer Nights Dream, Gabe's favourite being of course Titania.
They had never seen a barge moving through locks before, so with slush puppies in hand we waited and watched.
We found and where unimpressed with the 'most haunted house in England'.
My guys seem to love street art of all kinds and have a special place reserved for living statues... this knight was more lovely than most though!
I wonder if Gabe would have swapped lego for the sword permanently?
