Our adventure continued with a short train ride into Dublin City for the day. We had planned on the whole weekend but happened to pick the same weekend the Pope was going and the city just wasn't big enough for the two of us.
It was a bit of a detour to find it but I still think this 'hungry tree' is pretty amazing.
As I said the Pope himself was in town and imagine how excited we were when this happened...
Poor Gabe, Ayla likes his hair a bit too much.
Did the shop in front of the Pope's wagon give it away... National Wax Museum!
It would have been something to get both Pope's anyway ;0)
So after that excitement we spent the day wandering the city and seeing the sights...
When the rain came we headed inside the Dubliner, a vikings museum.
Can you tell Orion thought it was his turn with the helmet...
Runic name writing.
Gabe playing with Viking kids.
And getting put in the stocks for bad behaviour...
Some end of the day fun on one of the many bridges...
And a little lady who LOVED going on the open top tourist buses...
