We had a full week, not free from stress by any means but full of perfect moments nonetheless...
Center Parcs is vehicle free apart from moving in or out days and so bikes are an essential part of the experience. Gabe 'borrowed' a big kid bike when they begrudgingly agreed but if Orion had his way he wouldn't have come off his for a second. Thea alternated between short trips on her bike and longer ones in the trailer with Gabe, from which they serenaded me and as many other residents as possible. It was also from there they spied their first deer...
Then more came to visit our lodge...
We also had frequent duck visitors who must be used to noise or just very hungry as even my three monsters didn't scare them away!
A sunny afternoon on the lake.
Mini bowling.
Orion got to do some indoor rock climbing.
Fun in the maze.
Big Bowling.
We had a fire every night, and although I didn't manage my massage, silent nights spent in front of this with my favourite tea, my kindle, and knitting by choice rather than by order was heavenly.
And lead to these drinks holders...
A grateful family to the Center Parcs staff.
I think I have to be one of the only 30 somethings in the world who still gets given money from their family at Christmas but thank you thank you thank you, because between that and my dear mother, you guys just paid for a well deserved break, and we really really appreciate it.xx
