Harry Potter Day!

It's amazing what you can do with a bbq skewer and hot glue, especially when you have picture tutorials from pinterest to follow.

This method of making wands has been on my to do list for at least a year. The genuine Harry Potter wands are in the region of £20 each, and with three magic fans thats just way too much.

One lick of acrylic paint and a crystal later...  oh and of course scarves had to be made!

So, wands and scarves ready, and a sunny day with three other families in the forest = Harry Potter madness.

Spell casting, tree climbing and potion making complete with aged glass jars and authentic labels, and a picnic feast.

They all had such a great time, I can imagine a few more themed forest adventures in our future, and I'm thinking that this year's Halloween party might just have to be outdoors.
